Impact on Business RE: Current situation in China

In response to recent events in China regarding the Novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Gallery Direct would like to keep you informed of the possible impacts on our service-levels.
The utmost is being done to try and minimise any potential disruptions to business however unfortunately some products may be unavoidably delayed and there will be a degree of disruption to our normal service levels.

Movement in and around China remains restricted, varying according to province - many factories remain unstaffed, with their workers quarantined or unable to travel. We are continually monitoring the latest developments and, where possible, are in intensive contact with our Chinese partners.
Gallery Direct had, as standard practice, already expanded its stockholdings due to Chinese New Year in order to see us through this period and beyond, however the effects of this force majeure event in China are unpredictable and will no doubt have an impact on our inventory planning and out-of-stock situation.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any service disruptions and please be assured that we are doing everything within our control to minimise the impact of this on our business relationships. We hope you are able to kindly understand this exceptional situation.
Fortunately, with a worldwide manufacturing base, a significant proportion of our ranges are made outside of China, therefore providing numerous alternative options.
If you have any queries or require any further information then your dedicated Sales Manager will be more than happy to assist, with access to live stock levels and expert knowledge to suggest suitable alternatives should the need arise.

Yours Sincerely,

Ciaran Aldous Operations Director
